Ask us, we’re here for you #AskStartinTV

(*Our email referred to the “borrom” of this post. We’re we trying to hard to be hip? Please give us feedback!)

Back in 2001, a BBC director and presenter were working together on a famous car programme. People were always asking them how to get in to TV production or presenting and they both realised that there should be a way of bringing new people in to the business. Through our website and one to one expertise they wanted to give people help, tips, insider advice, and coaching. But importantly, new talent would get seen by producers and programme makers who were looking for people to work on their ideas and programmes.

This is how StartinTV was born.

Since those early days we have had over ten thousand members and been a part of many people’s lives. Only one of the original founders is still a part of StartinTV, but our commitment to helping people start and grow their careers in TV and film have not wavered.

We’re the Knowledge Base #AskStartinTV

We at StartinTV want to give you the best support and help we can to those wanting to get in to film and TV. We also want to help you grow and develop, progressing in your career and reaching your potential. As part of that we’re increasing our commitment to supporting you.

That’s why we’re launching our #AskStartinTV campaign. [Pronounced: Hash-tag Ask Start in TV. But we didn’t need to tell you that!]

You can see the pink ‘Ask Us’ tab on the right of this page, try it out. But by asking us more questions, you will help us add to the knowledge base that will help everyone. How can we help you? Ask us anything about StartinTV, our membership offerings, the industry, jobs, production… just #AskStartinTV.

The more questions you ask, the better our knowledge base and forums will become!

‘Page Not Found’ 404 helps find missing people

Thousands of children and young people go missing every year. With the help of the NotFound project, we’re trying to make a difference. A picture of a missing child automatically gets published on every ‘page not found’ (click that link to see) of our website. Maybe together, we can find them.

To find out more, to add this to your own site, or recommend this to someone else, visit the NotFound project at this link.
